Our journey began with an unexpected discovery during a trip to the island of Chios, where Ancient Greek traditions still shape the culture today.
Locals shared stories of mastic gum, a resin they’ve been chewing for centuries—not just for its flavor, but for its remarkable health benefits.
As I continued my trip, I saw how deeply rooted this tradition was in daily life, with mastic trees shaping the very landscape of Chios.
Upon returning to the UK, I was surprised to find how difficult it was to access mastic gum. Something so natural, with such profound benefits, was largely unknown and unavailable. That’s when we knew we had to make a change, and Mythos Gum was born.
